Airplane II: The Sequel is about a passenger space shuttle that malfunctions, and its AI decides to fly into the sun, while Sonny Bono carries a bomb onboard to blow everyone up out of his anger over being flaccid. The hero, Ted Striker, is in an insane asylum over his post-traumatic stress from his failed attack over Macho Grande during The War. Whichever war The War was, he flew in it in pre-Wright brothers planes in black-and-white footage. He knew the space shuttle plane was unsafe, so he buys a ticket from a scalper to get onboard.
