Question #1:

Atheists Since God doens;t do anything for this world, i wonder what are u doing for this world to get better?

are u using products that are not animal testing?
are u supporting the hungry ppl? one night out sacrifice and the money can be used to feed a person for a month of some countries.
are u using more ecological ways to clean your house? which are cheaper by the way?
are u voting a politician who actually does what he is promising?
if u have a car are u trying not to use it as much for a better environment?
are u avoiding using products from whales?
maybe if we push companies to make electric cars can make the environment better too!

there are so many simple daily things that we can do that actually can change the world literally tomorrow.
Make the companies to be eco friendly, if nobody supporting them they will change! u do know that right?
so, before again we say what god has done for the world, maybe we should ask ourselves first, what the f* are we doing for this world to get better!
maybe we can even stop world hunger! without god!
dudes, im not religious, but thats the point, so many here in this section are complaining saying that if God exist why he doesn;t stop world hunger, and im wondering, what the f are u doing to stop it?
if God exists or not has nothing to do with whats going on in our planet and it doesn;t mean god doesn;t care.
We all are capable to make things better.
Thats my point.
yeah, i know the "green products" still have harmfull ingridients, but for examle hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean a house and use less bleach! xD
im not saying not use some products at all, im saying that we can learn ways to go green without even buying "the green" shit some people sell xD
oh and "Congratulations on discovering a revelation people have been doing for years."
yeah, i don;t think so dude, because McDolnad's still make millions, super market detergents still sell the most, junk still sell the most, very big companies are still using animal products and oil prodcts to their products, like Loreal!
u want more famous companies?
i can name u dude!
bring it on!
nobody is doing shit!
very few actually!
so take your sarcasm somewhere else!
the point of this question is not for atheists to tell me what they do , but to realize that we have the power to make things better, a higher power like god it is not needed,
thanks for answering me.

Question #2:

Is there anything wrong with being a do it yourself consumer?

I'm a 38 year old widow. After my husband died in 2003, I realized that the life insurance money wasn't going to go very far, unless I became extremely frugal. Over the last 7 years I've taken many, many, many classes, and I've obtained quite a few certifications. From Personal Trainer (www.witseducation) to Building/Construction. I've literally saved thousands by being a do it yourself consumer. Some of my family members think that I'm obsessed with being frugal. But that's not the case at all. Why pay someone else to do a job, when I can do it for a fraction of the cost?

I can give you a really good example of what I'm talking about. In 2007, I took a seminar on how to flip houses and buy houses for the back taxes. This was also the same year that I had taken courses in real estate, realtor, and housing inspection. I knew that eventually I wanted to buy a house of my own. Up until 7 months ago I was living in a very cheap, garage apartment near my job. I decided that I was ready to move into my first and only house. I bought a 1,700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, with a two car garage, for the back taxes. The house has a swimming pool. I paid $4,312 for it all. Because of all of the classes I had taken in Building Construction, Interior Design, Cabinet Making, Furniture Making & Refinishing, Sewing. I spent $23,000 to have the home of my dreams. I got a huge tax refund, and I am using that toward an international adoption.

When I had my house warming party everyone from my job, asked me who had decorated my home. I proudly told them that I had did it myself. I also told everyone that I had made all of the food as well. Everyone was shocked, because they thought I had paid a professional to do it all for me. Nope it was all my hard work. I love that I can do things for myself, and I know that it will be done right.

So I'm asking all of the people out there reading my question: Is there anything wrong with being a do it yourself consumer?

Question #4:

approximate cost for teen motorcycle insurance?

hey, im 17 years old and live in Ontario, i recently got my G2 but cannot find a way to get car insurance cheap enough to actually warrant getting a car. I was wondering if anyone has any ballpark answer as to how much motorcycle insurance is at my age? every google search i do says "you should ask your insurance broker", well i will, but i just want to see if its even worth looking at or if its going to be like $300 a month like car insurance.

the bike would probably just be like a cheap used early 1990's bike, nothing special.

thanks

Question #5:

Have you heard something like ebonics in another language?

In Norway where I grew up we made Kebab-Norwegian, which was a combination of Arabic, Berber, a lot of Middle-eastern and African languages. and also some American, and even Italian and French

It's funny as hell.
Schpaa = Hot, Bahmen = buddy, Kahbe= Chick,
Walla = I swear, Avor = Lets go or comeon.

And people sometimes used expressions that you'd probably think were racist if you heard it for the first time.
Like "Damn this car is fricken Kurdish" if you're in a cheap car.
and Asians can describe eachother as "chipper", but it's kinda racist if another race calls them that, kinda like blacks in the U.S call eachother ngga.
I've heard bout Singlish, which is Singaporean English??

Question #6:

Why is my car insurance so much cheaper than other companies?

i was looking around for auto insurance to see if there was anything cheaper than what im paying now. im a 20 year old male with a 2005 scion tc. i have been driving for about 2 years and currently use state farm. when i first insured my car 2 years ago, i was paying $148/mo. due to a speeding ticket, it has risen to $194/mo. i also have comprehensive and collision with a $500 deductible. $100,000/$300,000 coverage with full glass also. not complaining, i think this is great
i looked at nationwide, allstate, geico, and progressive. these companies are supposed to be so great, but progressive quoted me at $485/mo for the same coverage! the other companies where all in that general area. progressives "state minimum" coverage plan for me was almost $300/mo.

Question #7:

Where to find really cheap car insurance?

I want to buy a $200 car mainly to run it into my friend's $200 car (kind of like playing bumper cars with real cars). I need a really cheap insurance that will basically only allow this car to be legal. I don't plan on making any claims on it or using it for anything other than playing around on private property. Only want to make it road legal. Any suggestions? I am looking for something under 50$ per month

Question #8:

What are the cheapest used cars to insure for a 18 year old?

Question #9:

What should I get my boyfriend for his birthday?

This is a re-post. When asked previously, not many people responded, and 2/3 of the ones who did gave TERRIBLE answers.

Here's a few things to keep in mind:
1. Because his mom used to work at CVS, he already has an a**load of cologne tester bottles, most unopened.
2. I am ALREADY getting him a wallet, so please do not suggest that. I am merely asking for ideas of something additional to get him.
3. No key chain suggestion either; it's not special enough.

OK, so now that we're clear...

My boyfriend's birthday is in about 3 weeks. It's 2 days before mine, and we plan on celebrating together. I'm already set on getting him a new wallet to replace the one he recently lost. Nothing fancy, just a black leather tri-fold like he had. I thought about including a gift card or something inside, but I don't want him to compare the dollar amount on it to my birthday present.

Football season starts soon, and he's a big fan of a local college team. Does anyone know where I can buy tickets for cheap? I'd like decent seats too if possible. Another thing I thought of was buying him a nice outfit. His favorite colors are black, green, and red. He also likes blue and orange (favorite football team's colors).

He's lost a good bit of weight since we've been together (11 months), so I'm unsure of what his sizes are. He's 5'11" and roughly 162 pounds. If I had to guess, I would say he's a 34 waist. The problem I have is with the leg length... I know he needs new jeans, and anyone could use a new shirt.

We don't take a lot of pictures, which leaves picture frames out of the question. He plays video games, like any other boy. He has an XBox 360, but I'm not too crazy about the thought of him sitting in front of the TV all day.

He has a car and has already taken care of a good sound system. I really want my gift to be personal, but I need somewhere to start. Hopefully, you all can offer some help.

Thanks in advance! (:
Started off with a couple of rude answers... It amazes me how immature some of you are. No worries though. For future reference to anyone, you will be reported.

To the rest, nice answers so far. This is getting better. (:

Question #10:

Car insurance estimate?

I'm 19 year old male. Going to get my g2 through YD in a few weeks (had g1 for a year). Want to buy an old, cheap used car in May and drive to western canada from toronto to live for a year and then drive back. Never been insured before, never had any tickets, and will probably opt out of collision and comprehensive coverage. I know insurance rates vary a lot, but can anyone give me a ballpark? I can't find anything online. Am I looking at $2000 a year? $3000? $4000?

Question #11:

I need cheap insurance and will only be driving weekends, can anyone help?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a car but will only be using it weekends. The thing that worries me most is the cost of running it like insurance etc. I will hardly be using it but wondered if anyone knew of any companies that offer cheaper insurance for low mileage drivers?

Question #12:

Would it be viable to flip cars for profit by installing nice audio systems into them?

I don't think a lot of people realize how cheap you can get things using Google Shopping. For example, Crutchfield sells the JVC KW-810 CD receiver for $300. But if you head over to Amazon, you can get the same one for $210.

Now if I were to post an ad on craigslist, linking to the Crutchfield product page, and adding on a price of only say, $250 to car selling price, thus making $40 profit just from the head unit, than do you think adding complete systems for cheap and selling them a bit higher would be viable for flipping cars?
Fuck you 02Cavvy.

Question #13:

Why do used cars seem so much more expensive in Michigan?

I live in Michigan. When I do used car searches on cars.com, etc, I'm familiar with the prices for the car I'm looking for around a particular mileage. Yesterday, I started expanding my search up to 250 miles from my zip code. Now, instead of just Michigan, my search is including Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, yada yada... It seems that the overwhelming majority of this type of vehicle, with aprox. similar mileage are quite a bit cheaper. Why would it be that used cars seem to me to be a bit more expensive?

Question #14:

what car is the niceest looking but cheap to buy as a used car?

i live in pa and i need to buy a used car as my first one but i dont want an ugly one i want one that is cool looking but yet god on gas and cheap

Question #15:

HELP!!! Advice needed ... using my sister's account?

I just started dating a Macedonian girl. She is the same age as me 32. She is pretty. However, she is very bossy and always wants her own way. She is very materialistic. She buys Gucci and Armani clothes but gives me the cheapest presents, like a 20 dollar watch. She says she comes from a poor family in ex-Yugoslavia and material things mean a lot to her now. When she first met me she asked which area I lived in, what car I drove and what I did for a living. I live in a good area and have a professional job at Reuters. She has no education and works as a receptionist. She is not ambitious but expects to earn a lot of money for doing nothing. I have to pay for everything all the time. She told me that she likes me because I am "generous".

When she finds coins or any money on the ground she always picks it up. She uses her gay hairdresser for free haircuts and flirts with another guy to get to use his gym for free.

Recently her friend got expensive tickets to a concert and gave her one but she never even bought the friend a drink to thank her for it. She let someone else buy the drinks.

She has an agressive character and is very pushy. She is very demanding.

Previously I found out she dated older, divorced men with money who bought her expensive watches and designer clothes.

Her sister married an ugly, old, oddball for money and papers to stay in the USA.

My girlfriend paid her gay hairdresser to get married so that she could get the Visa to stay.

Should I continue to date her or not?

Question #17:

Buy a new or used car? college student?

I'm a college student and I would like to buy a car. I know nothing about cars because my parents don't drive... I am convincing my mom to buy a used car (low mileage) cuz its cheaper and insurance will be cheaper as well. But she's saying that used cars are not that reliable. and why do people sell their cars??? So, if I test drive a car at a dealership, do I need to get a temporary insurance? And, do I need to take the used car to a mechanic if i buy it from a dealer, i know you do if you buy it from a private party. What is the process of buying a car and how long does it take you to shop around? You go car shopping, get insurance, pay for the car, and then drive it home, right? Also, which insurance company is the cheapest in SF, CA. I've had my license for two years. I know its a lot of questions, but I don't know much about cars. Thanks!

Question #20:

How Can I pay off my debt, and stop my shopaholic problem?

Sorry this may be a bit long winded but it has been over the course of about three years. My life is hectic because I've been going to school to get my Business Degree for the past two years, and I'm on to my third year now. I never wanted to get a student loan, so I just kept my job and worked and went to school. My job is part time but its at least 4-5 nights a week sometimes so it was really hard doing full time classes along with work, so I started taking my classes part-time, as well as I found I never had enough for tution.

Anyway I bought a used car during this time for 7500. At the time I had a car loan - I had it paid down to about 3775. At the same time I had a credit card bill that was nearing $2000 dollars as I had been paying for tution and school fees on credit because I wasn't saving enough from my job to cover school.

So my boyfriend advised me to take out a student line of credit for $10,000 and consolidate my debt. I didn't think this was too good of an idea, because I know what I'm like with money and I know I shouldn't have access to large amounts otherwise I get silly with my spending habits. Sure enough, here I am today I still owe about $1500 to Credit Cards. And my line of credit Balance owing is $7333.00 - and soon to be more more as in September I have to pay my tution with that line of credit. So I will almost have it maxed out.

I currently live at home, and had been paying rent over the summer but I don't think my parents will make me pay during the year. I do help out alot with cooking and buying groceries, and I buy most of my own food.

So basically my expenses are food, gas, car insurance ($120 monthly), and tution which is $2000 a semester. My usual pay cheque is anywhere from $500-650 every two weeks. I also have a very bad habit of spending alot of money on clothes, makeup, and things that I feel like I need - like shampoo, and personal grooming things, as well as enterainment for the month. I always say to myself not to spend money, and I usually buy things that are cheap but somehow all my money is always gone and I'm left with all this debt.

I'm really starting to get scared and I feel like I just owe owe owe, and I don't know where to start or how to budget my life and start paying these debts when I hardly make any money.

Does anyone have any good advice for me, for a student trying to cut down spending and pay down debt? I also have this compulsive need to go to the mall and buy something everytime that I do, kind of like a shopaholic problem, its really bad.

Thank you!
