Question #3:

Why am I a recluse? and what can i do to change that?

I moved to BC to live with my best friend. i had not seen him in 6 yrs and rarely spoke however we were still best friends. he came back to my city, and came to see me, it was like we were never apart. He was the kind of person who would support anything youd do. I ended up moving to BC with him. we became super close again, we went out and he showed me Vancouver and the best times of my life. We started to sell weed so we wouldn't have to pay for it and things were great. we made money and the people we worked for loved us. one day they asked me to take weed to calgary on a bus and i agreed. the day i was leaving was a great day. me and my friend laughed and enjoyed our day together. i had to leave at 5am and was hanging out at our friends house. my best friend went to go get my luggage. he said he would be 15 mins and asked if i wanted to go with him. i said no. he never came back. the police found him on the street dead. the police did not believe me and i was apprehended.i was interrogated and told them everything, and was released. i had to borrow money from my mother to get a bus ticket home. when i returned to my home town. everybody blamed me for my friends death. i had people throw full beers at me from cars only to hit my gf in the head. she has left me due to it. all my friends that i used to have, abandoned me, they dont answer my calls. i gave my friends eulogy at his funeral, and his dad and his uncles cornered me outside and threatened me. his cousin saw me and tried to run me over with his car. he drove up on the curb and jumped off my bike to not get hit. ive called the cops on his family for threatening me. its to the point where i am afraid to go outside due to the way people interrogate me over and over. its been a little over a year and since then i have given up on society. i joined the navy so i could get away ASAP. i cant even walk to the store without people harassing me. i worked at a restaurant and his father showed up he travelled from b.c. just to harass me some more. no girls will even talk to me, no guys will let me walk down the street in peace. i have no friends. I am alone in this world, everyone either interrogates me or makes fun of me saying im crazy. sometimes i just want to disappear and never look back. when i do try to go out i get such bad anxiety i have had to deal with guilt that others have placed upon me. i am so sad. my family doesnt know how to help me. why cant i get over my best friends death. i feel like if i do make new friends i am scared to get close to them, losing a best friend is one of the hardest things i have ever had to deal with. his murder was a hit and run. everybody thinks i did it but i have people who were with me at my friends house. I always was popular, i was always happy. how can this one tragedy effect me for so long. when will it get better. will i have to be depressed for the rest of my life? is there anybody who can help me? I dont understand why i have to go through this alone. and how my friends could just abandon me at my time of need. since my friend was killed i have gone to college and graduated with honors, i have quit smoking marijuana and i dont drink or smoke cigarettes anymore or even watch tv or play video games. all i do is workout and prepare for going to africa with the navy. i have no social life and im not the same person i used to be. i was the life of the party before. now im just another emo kid... will i ever be able to hold my head up high again? if you met me you wouldnt be able to tell that i was so depressed i hide it well... i just want a girlfriend which was never hard for me to do.. im good looking and i take care of my body, i always have a job and work hard on my future... but my confidence is not what you would think anymore... im a sad case now... i ahev been single withouit even a girl giving me her phone number for almost 2 years... girls sometimes ask me why i am single and i just dont know what to say... psychiatrists dont help, Councillors havent helped... and even the police special victims people cant help me... i just want someone who loves me to tell me everything is going to be ok... im leaving for africa in january and nobody even cares i tried to have a going away party and nobody showed up... like why do i even bother... can someone please give me some advice.. i take vitamins and workout daily.. i go swimming and take a sauna everyday.. i run alot. but exercise and proper eating can only do so much... I hate the way my life has turned out... even though i am successful now i still feel like life is pointless... i am not suicidal... i just dont know how to deal with the loss of my absolute best friend... why did he die and not me. why didnt i go with him... why do i have to deal with this stuff. all these questions i ask myself everyday and i know it is not healthy. and this can happen to anybody if you sell marijuana or not.
that felt great just getting it off my chest... nobody will ever listen to me, so even if nobody answers me it felt great to just rant like somebody out there cares
I am staying with my only family.. my mother who has been my rock in the raging river that is my life... i dont know if i can wait until january.. its so hard... do you know about grief councilling?
thank you humpty dumpty i appreciate your delicacy in addressing the situation... i know yahoo answers isnt the best place to get these types of answers but im very pleased to see such compassion in answering.. thank you so much for listening

Question #4:

Would you be interested in this story?

So i'm writing a short story and just wanted to get some feedback before i keep going.

Charles is the son of two wealthy entrepreneurs and he never had to worry about a single thing in his life until now. He came home early one night to see that his girlfriend Emily, and his best friend Eric naked on the bed. He gets furious but Eric blames that he wasn't there for Emily. Then they struggle and Eric pushed Charles onto a heavy glass table and hits his head. Thinking that Charles is dead, both Emily and Eric leave the house.

Em and Eric comes up with an idea that Eric should pretend to be Charles so they can get married and receive his parents' fortune. Emily starts teaching Eric what Charles' favorite foods are, his music, movies, books, and who he knows and what habits he has. Eric then receives a plastic surgery to try to look like Charles.

Five years later, Charles has been getting help with his broken back from his private doctor who promised him not to tell Emily and Eric that he's still alive. Soon Charles gets a plastic surgery to make him look like Eric. Then he appears in front of "Charles" acting like "Eric". Emily and Eric are both stunned to see who this is.

In the end it turns out that Eric is Charles' biological brother who he thought died when he was born. But actually, Charles' parents didn't plan on having another child after Charles so they abandoned him. Eric grew up planning a revenge against Charles and his family, but his plan backfired when Charles, who is now "Eric", sells Eric's house, his car, and donates all his money to charity. "Charles" and "Eric" hold each other and accept their apologies, while Emily, feeling she was being used this whole time, shoot both of them in the head before killing herself.

Do you think this "plot twist" has been used way too many times?
What are your thoughts?

Question #5:

Is this a good deal? Will we have equity at the end of the PCP?

I am currently driving a 2006 Audi A3 Special Edition 1.6 auto petrol (31,000 miles) and my husband wants me to upgrade. We looked at a 2008 Mercedes CLS320 cdi (26,215 miles), the dealer is offering to part exchange allowing £6,000 for the Audi, they are selling the mercedes to us, through a PCP agreement, for £22,050.00 on a 3 year contract guaranteeing the value at just over £10,000 at the end of 3 years.

This deal would bring our monthly payments to £295 which is less then we currently pay for the A3 on hire purchase (which is paid off in 2 months). It is affordable for us, but what I don't understand is what equity will we have at the end of 3 years to use as a deposit for another car?

I love the mercedes, gave it a thorough test drive today and cannot fault the car in any way. But I don't want to make a poor financial decision based on my love for luxury!

Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks :)
Forgot to add that the A3 has rear parking sensors as the only extra. The mercedes has a couple of extras and the dealer offered to have front and rear parker sensors installed.

Question #6:

Anyone read this? What do you think about her behavior?

NOTE: I'm asking this in etiquette because I feel this is the best forum.

Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac was a very intelligent, attractive woman and a gifted doctor, estranged boyfriend William Moodie said.

In fact, her attention to detail and connections within the medical community resulted in Moodie getting a new heart valve, Moodie said Wednesday evening. She listened to his chest, noticed something was wrong, and drove him to UCLA Medical Center to meet with the chief of cardiothoracic surgery.

That doctor agreed with Kotarac and the heart valve was replaced, Moodie said.

"She was absolutely brilliant as a doctor," he said.

Kotarac's badly decomposed body was found Saturday wedged in the chimney of Moodie's house. Bakersfield police believe she had been there about three days, since trying to force her way into the house on the evening of Aug. 25.

Kotarac, 49, showed up at the house that night and Moodie, not wanting a confrontation, slipped out the back door when she arrived, police said. She apparently used a shovel to try to force open the back door of the home in the 4300 block of La Mirada Drive, police said.

Moodie, 58, spent the night someplace else, according to police.

At some point, Kotarac used a ladder to get to the roof, removed the chimney cap and slid down the flue feet first, police said. Her body was found stuck near the bottom of the flue. The coroner's office reported she died from being unable to breathe and her death was an accident. Police said Moodie was never a suspect.

Moodie declined to talk about his relationship with Kotarac or what their status was as a couple when she showed up that night.

But he's tired of people saying negative things about her and said it's time to leave her alone.

"She made a horrendously bad decision and paid for it with her life," Moodie said.

He remembers Kotarac, whom he knew for three to three and a half years, as a tremendously giving person who even provided free medical service to some people. Kotarac, a 1991 graduate of UCLA Medical School, was an internal medicine doctor who worked out of an office on San Dimas Street.

As far as hobbies, she was a lifelong fan of equestrian events and owned horses when she was younger. Moodie said he and Kotarac attended a horse jumping competition in Las Vegas, and she often went to see horses race.

Although her busy schedule often didn't allow it, Kotarac also loved to travel, Moodie said.

Police said Kotarac had an airplane ticket to go to Amsterdam with Moodie the Friday after she went missing. Moodie and an office assistant of Kotarac's searched his house Thursday and reported her missing to police because her car and purse were there.

Moodie spent the night at his home Thursday and then went on the trip. Police searched the home Friday evening, but found nothing.

It wasn't until a woman checking on Moodie's fish tank noticed a foul odor Saturday and inspected the chimney flue that Kotarac's body was discovered.

Moodie said he's been staying in hotels since returning to Bakersfield and he won't live in the house. He said he'll have it repaired -- the chimney had to be dismantled to remove the body -- but he imagines there will be some issues selling the home with the notoriety it now has.

Moodie said it's been a difficult time, and Kotarac's death has had an enormous impact on him.

"I feel this incredible sense of loss," he said. "It's very hard to accept the fact that she's gone."

Question #7:

Anyone read this? Any opinions on why she did this?

Question #8:

move back home any advice?

I was offered the oppurtunity to rent a huge basement in my parents house with my girlfriend vs struggling to pay rent and all the other bills, I have a job paying 12 bucks an hour and she temps but hasnt found anything permanent, and it may be a while before she does. I feel that we should take other part time work, sell things and buy used cars, cancel our cable and cut out some entertainment etc to "make it" but my girlfriend loves the idea of paying my mom 400 a month and living like kings, to me it feels kinda wrong shouldnt we at our age 31/36 cut back a little and work a little harder instead of moving in with mom.
"live like kings" as in having to only pay 400 for rent to have all the basics then have all kinds of "play money" vs budgeting for rent, electricity, gas, phone, internet like a grown up

Question #9:

I need money to buy a used car but do not want a loan?

How can I get money for a decent used car without having to get a loan? I am in college and can not afford to be getting a loan. and at this point I am on minimum wage trying to get through school and do not make enough to save for a car. I used to have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse but I had to sell it on the count of it broke down and the mechanics I sent the car to had no idea what was wrong with the car.

Is there anything out there for people like myself?

Question #10:

I have no credit. I have $1,500 cash. Will this be enough down payment for a 6,000 car?

I am 18, work part-time & full-time student. I make an average of $180 a week.. so about 700 a month.

I have a 95 honda accord I am planning on selling for AT LEAST $1500
I need a new car---pronto. I'm currently viewing and researching the 2001 Honda Accord Coupe in several different used car dealerships... they average about $6,000
I will probably have my dad co-sign the contract...? I have no credit :(

Will my $1500 be enough? will there be other fees attached to the purchase?
How is an 18 year old financing a car a bad idea? My dad is most likely co-signing.
this is true. But I do NEED a newer car... My current car needs repairs every month, if its not the battery, its the alternator... Its been leaving me stranded for a while now, thats why I need a better car!
I can and WILL find a car that is less than 6,000, I just was adding extra for fees etc.
My car has a screeching alternator, will probably need a new a/c compressor and has peeling paint all over... I really don't think Its worth fixing.

Question #11:

Auto dealer sold me a car without disclosing a salvage title?

I bought a car 2 1/2 months ago from a local dealer in the city i live. This is a GM certified dealership. At no point in the sales process or even when signing paperwork, was I told that the car has a salvage title. I know I was buying aq used car and that I should have asked for a carfax, but this is a dealership I had bought from before and so have others in my family. As far as I know, even if you don't ask for a carfax, they still have to disclose that the car has a salvage title. Am I right, or not? And even if they didn't mention it to me, no where in the paperwork does it say it has a salvage title. I feel very cheated and lied to at this point...I just got the title in the mail and that's how I found out it has a salvage title...it says "Salvage Title" in big red stamped ink. What can I do at this point since it's been 2 1/2 months since I bought the car? Do I have any kind of legal case?
I signed a lot of paper work, but I don't think I signed the title. They sent the title to me and I just got it.
The car is a 2007 Pontiac G6, and I paid about $11,000 for the car. The dealership has been around for awhile, I'd say around 15 years. I obviously took out an auto loan for this car, so I'm wondering if banks normally finance salvaged title cars. And what about my insurance? I also heard that most insurance companies won't insure a salvaged title car with full coverage, is this true?

Question #12:

Used car gone wrong, options?

My other half bought a car from a friend of a friend last friday, as it was someone we trusted we took her word for it that it was ok, the noise that it was making would be an easy fix.
Aparently not.
Less than a week later, we've been told that it's dangerous to drive the car as the exhaust is broken in 4 different places and has been for some time. It's not even road worthy.
Got hold of the seller and basically got told "It's not my problem anymore" as you can guess we're raging at spending lots of cash on a car, and having to spend even more than we paid for it, to get it road worthy. The registration documents have yet to be signed so the car isn't registered to us yet.
Is there any kind of road we can go down to get our money back or something as we feel we've been sold damaged goods passed off as ok. By a 'mate', which sucks even more.

Question #13:

Shifting gears (New Driver)?

So.......

Yeah, I have totaled up all the money I made from working in high school freshmen to senior year and have FINALLY got a car, with $5000 left over for maintenance given by my parents.

I am set on a used Audi s6. It only has 15k miles too and have personally checked out the car, its fine and will draw the attention of everyone in school for senior year hehehehehehe.

The car I was driving before....was a Toyota yaris used, automatic transmission. Piece of SHIT!

So, I want to know how hard it is to use manual shifting gears.

Of course, the Audi has tip tronic so I can choose, but how hard is it?

Specifically, my question is, the highway speed limit is 75, what if you reach that speed at gear 3 lets say? Do you just stick to that gear? Won't it over rev the engine or something?

Sorry if I sound dumb, its just that cars in America these days are all automatic and my dad just sold his manual accord, so i can't practice too much.

Most of this; believe it or not, comes from Gran Turismo information !!

Question #14:

i bought for less and sold for more, i feel bad?

i bought a 32gb ipod touch for $200 a couple months ago, with the usb cord, charger, and the stand thing for my car. after i paid him, he said he couldnt get the email ap to work. i dont know how to use apps and only use the ipod for music, so a few months later, i sold it on craigslist. i sold it for $220 without anything, not even charged, he said he trusts me. what if the email app didnt work? should i feel bad? on my listing, i only said it was in great condition, and i only used for a week, which is true.

also i have some lame songs on there so im kinda embarassed...

Question #15:

Are there any stores that sell clear decal paper?

I'm trying to make new car window decals for my graduating class, because nobody likes the design that was chosen and distributed to the students. Does anybody know of any stores that would sell clear decal paper? I'd prefer stores that aren't online so I could just drive out and get some paper, rather than waiting a week for it to be shipped to me.

Better yet, does anybody have recommendations of design-your-own window decal sites that they have personally used before (or someone they know have used before)? Thanks so much!

Question #16:

best car dealer to work for?

Is it better to work for a no haggle type of dealer?, I make about 50000 a year working about 50 hrs a week, but have no benefits no vacations and just hate my job, Ive being offered a job selling cars at a no haggle price dealer but a friend that used to sell cars says there is no money selling cars that way.

Question #17:

If you were buying a car from a dealer, how much below the asking price would you offer?

Say the USED car price is $10,000, what would you feel okay about offering? To me there are both pros and cons to this. I don't want to get laughed at, nor do I want to offer lower than they would have sold it to me for. Help!!!

Question #18:

Is S400 Hybrid worth it?

My dad wants to get a brand new S-Class, the 2011 version when it comes out. When does come out by the way? Anyways, he has the money to buy a S65 but he also likes to save the environment. He wants a Mercedes-Benz for sure and he came across the S400 Hybrid. He read and watched a lot of reviews on it(the 2010 version) and they all said it wasn't as nice as S550, and it is a bit sluggish. Reviewers said it feels really slow.

Here is the thing, we live in Michigan where there is 6 months of winter. It usually snows 2-3 times a week. Some people say if the driver is careful, a rear-wheel drive(S400 Hybrid) can handle the snow and some say it's dangerous. I know 3 people who totaled their rear-wheel drive in the snow, but they were all teenagers. If he gets a S550, it will be a 4MATIC. Also will people think that my dad couldn't afford a S550 if he gets the S400?

Also part of the reason he wants a S-Class is because well #1 it's the top selling and most popular luxury car in the world but also because it's used as state/president cars in Asia and Europe. Which one do they usually use? S550 or S600?

Is getting the S400 worth it? Would you get a S400 or S550 if you could afford it, even though S400 is more environment friendly? But S550 is environment friendly too right? I heard S550 uses recycled material and burns fuel cleaner than Toyota Prius, which is good for the environment.

Thoughts please, thank you (:

Question #20:

Would it be viable to flip cars for profit by installing nice audio systems into them?

I don't think a lot of people realize how cheap you can get things using Google Shopping. For example, Crutchfield sells the JVC KW-810 CD receiver for $300. But if you head over to Amazon, you can get the same one for $210.

Now if I were to post an ad on craigslist, linking to the Crutchfield product page, and adding on a price of only say, $250 to car selling price, thus making $40 profit just from the head unit, than do you think adding complete systems for cheap and selling them a bit higher would be viable for flipping cars?
Fuck you 02Cavvy.
