Question #1:

Help! What kind of car should I get? 10 points for best answer i promise!!?

I'm 18 years old and I'm getting my first car. I'm a good driver, but even so, I'm still a beginner.

Should I get an Acura TL or Acura TSX? Whichever car, I'm getting a used one. Or should I get a Honda Civic? Or any other suggestions lol. Thanks so much!!!
Also don't tell me that I should get some cheap car because I'll crash. I'm a careful driver and my parents decided that these options are appropriate. I'm just looking for some opinions.

My dad is cheap and my mom hates it?

It's going to be hard for me to keep this short, but I'll try my best! D:

My dad is cheap. Hates spending money. I have a mom and a dad (obviously from the title) and two brothers a few years younger than me. I'm 19 and in college. As a family, we have plenty of money. More than enough. However, not much of it gets spend. Our home is bought and not rented. We have 3 cars that are bought and not rented.

Our bathroom has been sitting unused and empty for over 2 years. It developed mould over time and obviously, a mouldy bathroom isn't a healthy thing. My dad did plan on fixing it himself (to avoid paying a company to do it), but it was too much for him and it's been sitting unused as I said. This among other unfixed problems our older house has is driving my mom crazy!

There's 3 general accounts of money in my family. Mine, my mom's (she recently got money from my granny when she sold her house) and my mom and dad's joint account. My dad doesn't mind spending my mom's money. He frequently takes money out to pay credit card bills and other things. But, he won't touch the joint account. And, my mom doesn't touch it either. My dad has divided it into various sections and each section can only be opened after a certain amount of time. I'm not sure how it works, so hopefully that makes sense. My mom says that he needs to get someone to fix the bathroom. My dad says that she can get someone to do it herself. She says that she's not using the money from her mom because she wants to buy a summer cabin or buy an apartment to invest in. She says she wants to use the joint account money and that's when my dad storms off.

It's getting really annoying. It's such a simple issue as well. We need the bathroom fixed, so get someone to fix the bathroom! It needs to be done eventually! But, my dad won't use his precious money that he's saving for no good reason.

Not only is it just the bathroom situation, but it's everything. He won't go on vacations. If we go, it's my mom and I along with my brothers. It's too much money for him. If he had a choice, we would sit at home, drink beer and watch tv rather than travel or shop or whatever.

I don't know what to do. I'm sick of the arguing and I hate telling my mom that she's right about my dad being cheap and stubborn, but she is! I just need some advice, I guess...

I phoned him and he said he inherited it from his mom and it hasnt been in an accident and its in great condition.

this is a great deal if all this is true, but what do I need to ask for, how do I know its not stolen etc

Questions about a four wheel drive vehicle?

I have a small SUV with 4 wheel drive. My father-in-law borrowed my car and drove it from Utah to California and back. On the way back, he decided that he needed to get some sleep. He pulled over and laid down and slept in the front seat, apparently moving the 4 wheel drive gear shift into 4 high. When he woke up, he didn't notice and drove it all the way home like this. I don't know much about cars, but I know this ISN'T good. Anyway, what damage might have been done to my transmission due to this? Do you think since it was his mistake, they should have to pay for any damage done? The car seems to run fine now, but, like I said, I don't know much about them.
Secondly, my father-in-law and husband both seem to think that the car should now be in 2 high all the time, when not using the 4 wheel drive. Is this what gear it is supposed to be in? I seem to remember someone telling me different when I bought the car, but I'm not sure.

Answer Please :) How should i get to South Carolina?

Well my fiance is at Basic Training. Im in college right now, so i dont have a great amount of money to use. But She graduates in a month and 10 days and i promised i would be there for her. I cant take a plane over there since it is way too much. The train is a second option but that will take about a day to get there. and this graduation is on a Thursday. She is in Fort Jackson, SC and im the way here in Illinois. Please, if you have any suggestions on how i can see her. Also, driving could be an option. I got about 118,000 mi. on my car and i dont know if SC would be too mountainous. Plz comment.

Is NASCAR collossal waste of fuel?

In a time where gas prices in my region(NH) have risen from 2.179 to 2.319 in the matter of 2 days, and then all of the other local stations jumped to 2.399/gal, I don't see how this sport can still exist. Talk about not giving a rats butt about the environment. ANd please don't come back with football is a waste because it uses water to keep the field green . We aren't importing water from Saudi Arabia...We aren't dependant on another nation for water!!

It drives me nuts when I turn on the TV and see these cars driving around forever...I mean, talk about a waste of an afternoon. All I read on message boards and hear on the radio(JT the Brick) is "You have to physically go to a race to appreciate it". This is what I need: Heat stroke from being in the sun all day while inhaling exhaust fumes watching a bunch of cars burn off a valuable resource which goes up in price daily because we have to import it. I understand that for some reason, this sport is taking off like gangbusters. I just don't understand the reasoning...You want to watch racing? Play Pole Position, Need for Speed, something like that...At least that's INTERACTIVE!!!!

what to do once you had a car accident and the car is consider totaled?

The car is still drivable is only the lights and bumper that needs to be fix but my insurance wants to reimburse me for the damages, even though the value of the car and repairings are about the same. Then I am ask to sign a paper saying that I agree to accept the cash for damages and that I accept any and all liabilities that may result from the use or operation of this car. that I also will not have no additional payments for damages, rental or towing on this loss. Does this sound familiar to any one? Does this means I no longer would have full coverage? a 2000 car.

I'm working on a novel. What are some ways for characters to die?

I am currently working on a novel, and I am sort of at a stump here. I already have the plot; It's actually quite different from other projects I've written. It's...normal. No fantasy whatsoever, which is weird for me.

So I am looking for normal, realistic ways for people to die. I want to majorly avoid car accidents all together. I've used car accidents so many times in my stories, it's really becoming unbearable for me to write. I know I want the mother to commit suicide out of mourning, but the father is the one I'm stuck on.

I want his death to be completely accidental on his behalf. If someone else murdered him, sure, why not? But I don't want him to do any of this to himself. If anyone has any ideas they'd be greatly appreciated.
Also, I'm not THAT into the whole murder thing. I'm just not turning down those suggestions. I can't detective things like that, where someone's murdered and the teenager (Who will actually be the main character) has to find out who did it...that's really something I'd fail at.

I just need a simple, logical way for someone to die. I think choking on home-made dinner sounded like the best answer. It makes sense in the mother's point of view as well, based on why she committed suicide. Thanks for the answers though.

I have a potty in the car- how should I get rid of the pee?

I started keeping a little Baby Bjorn potty in the car for those times when my 2.5 year old just can't wait. Hadn't had to use it til today, then I realized I wasn't sure the best way to dispose of the pee! We were in a parking lot. I'm sure I'm not the only parent who keeps a potty in the car, so my question is, what do you do with the pee??
Um, the reason I have a potty in the car is to prevent PEE from getting IN my car- I'm not going to try to drive with a potty full of pee! Cleaning isn't an issue- I can clean when I get home or use some Clorox wipes. Where should I DUMP it?!

Bad mechanic - Please help?

So I took my car in for over heating issues. I neded a clutch fan for my 2002 GMC Envoy 4.2 liter SLE. ALso had the brakes done. Since then I have had to send the car back 3 times for the squeaky brakes. I use to do some mechanic stuff and know that new brakes will squeak, but not worse than before I had them done. THis is the first issue. THey have redone the front brake 3 times including the initial replacement. Now my care is overheating more then before and the brakes are worse. I have it in the shop now, and am waiting for the owner to call. if they do not fix this right waht can I do short of going to another mechanic and paying all over again

So they are replacing the brakes and rotors for the thrid time. I dont they are trying to push me away. They know me I dont faulter. Problem is I have 6 cars my family brings to them. The owner died and his son runs the shop now. The inititally said I needed a Clutch fan, and I asked if a pressure test was done. THey said yes. Replaced the clutch fan-worked great for two days. Started over heating. Took it back leaky f'n water pump, which I just knew it was the pump. Now I need a thermostat, and water pump. I professionally went off. He agreed to 154 for the whole thing. water pump roughly 60 bucks, thermostat 35. 3hrs labor on the pump he cut to 1.5, and free labor for the thermosta. He also said I could pay half, now since I ahve given him so much money so far. They re-didn the brakes so we will see. Thanks to all for the feedback

However, considering all the tradition, doesn't the belt still mean something? Isn't it still a very important championship in the wrestling world? Perhaps the belt most representing the tradition of the sport?

HISTORY:

- George Hackenschmidt becomes recognized as the first world heavyweight champion of wrestling in Europe in 1904, in North America in 1905

- The NWA appoints Orville Brown the first NWA World Heavyweight champion. Brown is injured in a car accident shortly thereafter, and the belt is awarded to Lou Thesz. Eventually, Thesz is considered the undisputed world heavyweight champion of wrestling after defeating all major claimants. Effectively, the NWA World Heavyweight Title is an undisputed world heavyweight title.

- In 1960, Verne Gagne's American Wrestling Association (AWA) breaks away from the NWA.

- 1963, Lou Thesz defeated "Natureboy" Buddy Rogers for the NWA title in a one-fall match instead of the standard 2/3-falls match. As a result, Vince McMahon Sr's Capitol Wrestling promotion breaks away from the NWA, becomes the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), and recognizes Buddy Rogers as the first WWWF World Heavyweight Champion.

- In 1982, NWA World Heavyweight champion "The Natureboy" Ric Flair wrestles WWF champion Bob Backlund to a double-disqualification.

- In 1983, NWA World Heavyweight champion Ric Flair is defeated by World Wrestling Council (WWC) World Heavyweight champion Carlos Colón in a match to determine "the undisputed champion of the universe". As a result, the WWC World Heavyweight Title is renamed the WWC Universal Heavyweight Title. Despite the loss, Ric Flair continues holding the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

- In 1988, Ted Turner purchases Jim Crockett Promotions, a major portion of the NWA. Turner's promotion, now called World Championship Wrestling (WCW), continues to work within the NWA while also building itself into a separate entity.

- In 1991, "The Natureboy" Ric Flair defeats Sting for not only the NWA World Heavyweight title, but also to become the first WCW World Heavyweight champion. A couple months later, Tatsumi Fujinami defeated Flair for the NWA title, but not the WCW title. Eventually Flair defeated Fujinami to once again be both the NWA & WCW champion. Following a dispute with WCW President Jim Herd, Flair leaves the NWA & WCW with the title belt, which he brings onto WWF programming.

- Lex Luger wins the vacant WCW belt in July 1991. Masahiro Chono finally wins the vacant NWA belt in August 1992.

- In 1993, WCW and the NWA fully part ways. The current NWA World Heavyweight champion, Ric Flair, is stripped of the belt.

- In 1994, a tournament for the NWA title is held and won by Eastern Championship Wrestling champion Shane Douglas. However, after winning the NWA title, Douglas throws it away, proclaiming the ECW belt (now Extreme Championship Wrestling) is a better world heavyweight title. Another tournament is held and won by Chris Candido, who is the new NWA World Heavyweight champion.

- In 1995, the NWA title is won by UFC fighter Dan Severn, who holds the belt for over 4 years.

- In 2002, following the collapse of ECW and the purchase of WCW by the WWF, a new promotion begins called Total Nonstop Action (TNA), which partners with the NWA. When NWA champion Dan Severn refuses to defend the belt in TNA, a tournament is held and won by Severn's UFC rival, Ken Shamrock, who becomes the new NWA World Heavyweight champion.

- In 2003, the NWA title is unified with the World Wrestling All-Stars (WWA) World Heavyweight Title after NWA champion Jeff Jarrett defeated WWA champion Sting. WWA had been another company founded in the wake of the ECW/WCW collapse, which featured many big-name stars.

- In 2007, the NWA and TNA part ways. Current NWA champion Christian Cage is stripped of the NWA title. Adam Pearce wins a tournament in Puerto Rico to become the new NWA World Heavyweight champion.

- In 2008, the Blue Demon Jr. becomes the first Mexican to ever win the NWA World Heavyweight Title. He holds the belt for two-and-a-half years.

- Current NWA World Heavyweight champion: Adam Pearce (since March 14, 2010)

Am i wrong for declining an invite?

My cousin just sent out the family reunion info for August 2011 . It is a 3 hour drive from my house so too close to fly.
I spoke to someone who use to work at the location and it is HOT, outdoors so no a/c.. I am declining because I feel I could be 9 months pregnant then or 1 month pregnant (however there is a chance not at all in which I will feel bad) why would I want to deal with all of that. They are asking for a deposit now to reserve the place . All I am thinking about is being stuck in a car for hours being stuck out side for hours. She said because of the place she is reserving she needs to know a number and to submit a deposit early. Usually we are given 3-5 months notice never this early.

They do not know why I am declining. I feel bad saying I have something do a year from now.
The other thing is no one from my immediate family is going and usually my sister plans the events so it may look like I do not want to go because my sister is not head of the committee and a cousin is in charge.
Is it wrong to decline something because I may be pregnant?
Is it bad luck?
oh it is not annual. ALso this year it is in my state .

Mother used my SS number what do I do now?

My mother has been using my social security number for bills in my name for a long time. I refuse to pay it. There is over 2,000 dollars worth of phone bills, I dont know how much to a rental center. Cable companies and an internet thing I've never heard of. I dont know what to do. I cant get anything, Car, Credit cards, companies in my name, etc.

Is my 2 yr old advanced?

I know all parents think their kids are geniuses, but I am just wondering if the things my son does are normal for his age? We don't really have anyone to compare him to and I hate to ask other parents for fear of sounding like I'm gloating, so I thought I'd ask here...

My son is 2 years and 4 months now. Here are a few of the things he does that we think aren't "normal" for is age.... he has been pluralizing words in the right context since 20 months, he uses verb tenses in the right context (eg. walks, walked, walking), he fully understands concept of under, over, beside, behind, etc., he knows at least 17 letters (recognizes them and knows most sounds), he knows all the basic colors, he can count to 10 on his own and counts objects up to 6, he understands how traffic lights work (red means cars stop, green means cars go & and tells us how many cars are stopped), understands weather (eg. rain, thunder, lightning comes from clouds), understands bigger/smaller, taller/shorter, etc.,

The list goes on. Is this normal for a 2-yr and 4-mo child? Thanks!

I had Wheel alignment last week in my car.I am not satisfied because ride doesn't feel right?

I have buick park avenue 2003.I had 4 wheel alignment last week.I don't feel it was done perfectly as left turn seems little harder now and it's still seems pulling at right side.steering doesn't stay straight with wheel straight.turn signals used to go off when changing lanes on roads.Do you think I should get wheel alignment done again?which places I should go for perfect wheel alignment?
